In early spring the Scilla bloom and I always make a point to get some pictures in the short time that they are around. As previously mentioned, they share a name with my maternal grandmother, although the spelling is different.

Every time I see a plant with a word Siberica in its name, I feel myself a bit ashamed. Why don’t I have that plant? I am from Siberia, too, I must have it! Well, to be exact, we don’t call my part of Russia Siberia, we call it Russian Far East, but for Americans it’s all – Siberia. Anyway, I think I’ll get it for my garden this year. Thanks for such a beautiful image!
