The star purchase from last Saturday’s plant sale excursion. I am yet to repot it.
Unfortunately the flower was mercilessly ripped off by a squirrel yesterday morning. I am so glad I took this photo when I did!

What an interesting plant. Those squirrels should be ashamed of themselves!
Nice shot. The flower looks so silky and rich offset against the brick and plastic pot. I followed your tweets yesterday about the squirrels. It was a slow motion action sequence via social networking. Crazy! Sorry about the animal disaster, by the way. I know how painful it is! I recently had my little Monk Alley garden completely destroyed by my dogs! http://greenthumbr.com/members/lance/journal/2008/5/9/the_destruction_of_monk_alley
Unique and lovely!
Lance: Very sorry about your garden… those dogs really did some of the plants in.
Vanillalotus: what drives me nuts is that they didn’t eat it just tore it to bits!
Squirrels have no shame!
Is that a pitcher plant? Those are very interesting plants if it indeed is and is worthy of discussion.
