I took this photo in Austin, Texas back in March but my own peas are about this big now. Soon there will be fresh peas! I am counting the minutes.

Wow, that looks fantastic. Is it too late to create that now, I guess you had to start months ago?
Peas like cooler weather. Most people start in the earliest spring when the ground is first workable and then do another crop in the early fall when the heat lets up.
I’ll have to wait until the fall then. We are having a really, really hot spring here in the UK. Thanks for the info!
My peas are about that size, too. I started a bushing variety this time, so they supposedly don’t require staking.

I have started a garden(in ground) in atlanta, i have my tomatoes and herbs in ground , is it to late to start seedling for spinach, bell peppers, and lettuce? LOVE THE BOOK IT IS MY GARDEN BIBLE!!!
