Please allow me to introduce the second embroidery project in our You Grow Girl Makes series for plant and garden lovers. This fall themed wall hanging was inspired, in part, by a surprise gift of 300 pounds of pumpkin that was delivered to my door last fall. The experience gave me the opportunity to taste test several varieties of heirloom pumpkins in short order and was an education in the beauty and flavor diversity of this beloved fall crop.
Save the Date: I will be conducting a 2-week Introduction to Embroidery class here in Toronto in early December (Sat 6 & 13). An announcement with details is forthcoming. Just downloaded this one. Haven’t started on the tomatoes project yet, but these are going to make great seasonal wallhangings or pillows or whatever soon! Keep ’em coming. Love this stuff.
I wish I was local and could take the class from you! I still haven’t started on the first tomato project… maybe winter when there are long evenings inside…
This reminds me that I have to gather my needles, thread and patterns together and start a project. Have not done embroidery projects in very long time. Pumpkin is my favorite vegetable, but since avocados are in abundance here, I will try avocados.
Love the Pumpkin Project.
