This one is a little taste for my friend Barry who really wants to make it to see the alpine garden at the Denver Botanic Garden, someday.
I have no idea, but WHAT? The aliens are here.
This last shot is of the “Ponderosa Garden” near the entrance.
Denver is incredible. I am loving it so far and can’t believe I’ve only been here just over 24 hours. I’ve already taken in more than my brain can process.
Glad you like Denver – if you get a chance to explore the neighborhood around the botanical gardens or the Wash Park neighborhood, I’m sure you’ll have fun exploring the alleys and you may even come across some community gardens. (As a sidenote – I’m glad I’m not the only one who enjoys alleys and plants that grow in the cracks of the cement). Great lecture last night, just wish it could have lasted longer.
Great pictures! I’ll have to put the Denver Botanical Gardens on my to-do list next time I head out to visit family.
Wow, Now I wanna go to the Denver Botanic Garden too.
Wow. Must see that someday.
Thank you for such geat comments, and such a great visit. I’m sure we’ll see you again!
i knew you’d love the gardens there,,,,,they are top notch,,,,
The Denver Botanic Garden is fabulous. If you have the time, drive north to Fort Collins. The CSU hort department has a lovely perennial display garden and the All-America display garden is an explosion of color. Plus, Fort Collins is just a fun town.
Thanks for this. Now I have to get to Denver!
Thanks for the kind comments about DBG and the Rock Alpine Garden, glad you enjoy our work. My intern from last year who follows your blog caught that I appear in the background of your photo and forwarded this to me. Thanks again
Mike: That’s amazing!
