No fair, yours is blooming already? Mine is just getting buds now. Not too much longer!
I planted my first bee balm in my faerie garden this year and it bloomed last week.
I feel as though so I had so many warnings about Monarda (regarding spreading and the powdery mildew on leaves) I was a little nervous about planting it. Mine is a clear, bright pink and my neighbors is a deep raspberry burgandy. Love it, and no real issues with the leaves. …I do have plenty to share however! :-)
These aren’t mine, but isn’t the colour beautiful! I generally stay away from them for all the same reasons. Although I have had better luck on the roof where I can control the humidity a bit more.
Isn’t that funny? I’ve never had issue with powdery mildew on my bee balm, even when there was a squash with powdery mildew right beside it that I was struggling to control last year. But where I keep mine there’s generally a lot of air flow.
Gayla, I’m wondering if this is the same as mine, ‘Jacob Cline’ – the colour looks incredibly similar.
I too just planted Beebalm and am in love! The color and shape really make it pop. Very nice picture of yours!
