I did eventually find a place for them and they are now blooming. The smell is amazingly sweet. Clearing out a spot was worth the effort.

So lovely. I’ve been waiting for a photo of your sweet peas. I made the effort to grow some in hanging baskets (this requires me to climb up and dwon a ladder to water and cut them) but yes, it’s so worth the time and space.
Are these a heat-tolerant variety? Mine are beginning to wane.
We haven’t really had that much heat. We’ve had a lot of rain. So they’re holding up well.
I grew “Electric Blue” this year and got beautiful, dainty blue blossoms. They weren’t fragrant though. Just good lookers! I wonder why the lack of fragrance..?
Danielle: ‘Electric Blue’ is a great colour… too bad about the lack of scent.
