This might be the proper name for the “cup plants” I have growing in my yard, in the alley, in the neighbors’ yards…
They are called cup plants because the shape of the leaves makes a little cup around the square stalk to collect rain.
Mine gets to 7 or more feet tall and attracts bees like the dickens. There was even a goldfinch around them the other day!
Cup plant is Silohium perfoliatum. False Sunflower is very similar but the leaves are different and the plant is smaller then the Cup Plant.
