i broke the rules and wrote about several plants – again in Middle English. Right now in my garden it is too hard to pick just one… especially when all the blooms with stories to tell are awakening now.
Summer rains are upon us here in Florida. The plant I’m thrilled to find blooming at last is Purple Zinnia. I started these from seed back in April and was ever so careful with their tranplanting and locating them in the garden. The biggest payoff was finding an orange winged butterfly resting upon the bloom. The contrast of colors would have made a nice photo but I wasn’t camera ready and now it’s raining.(Again!)
I’ve been recording the blooms in my garden through out the seasons with picturesaas I’ve gotten such delight out of them and wished to share. you can view my photo album on my Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/abundancebygardening
Enjoy!

A simple flower, but a gorgeous color, my favorite this year.

I am so behind but maybe you can help me identify my mystery plant. I love it! I had to write about it.

My best guess is an erodium.
