Tomatillo Husks

I found these scattered around one of the plots at my community garden last week. One of the gardeners left their tomatillo plants in over the winter with a few husks still on the vine and they had decayed into a lacy shell. I think they are pretty and stuck some on the ends of my pea trellis as decoration.

  1. Haha, Gayla, you’re too cute! Want some more? There are TONS of them in my front yard right now, left from last year’s tomatillo plants which I did pull up, but my goodness, they’re a prolific plant. I keep looking for volunteers, but with this weather, none so far. If I do find some, I’ll pot them up for plant swaps.
