Seedy Sunday Toronto

It’s that time of year, again. Seedy Saturday and Sunday events have begun across Canada in anticipation of the gardening season.

In case you missed it, the Toronto event (this Sunday!) is earlier this year, and they’ve broken it up into three locations across the Greater Toronto Area in an attempt to manage crowds. Check out the flyer for details.

I am in no way, shape, or form prepared for it this year, but I will, as always, have a table at this Sunday’s event at Hart House on the University of Toronto campus. See you there!

  1. we’re having a seed swap here in boise on saturday, too. i’ve never been to one so i’m not sure what to expect–i’m really curious to see how many people show up and what types of seeds they bring.

  2. Oh i love seedy Saturday and Sunday! In my town its this Saturday, and i cant wait! Have fun I’m sure it will be great for everyone :)

  3. I’m actually going to be in Toronto for the weekend. Maybe I’ll stop by with my box of seeds for trading. What a wonderful addition it’ll be to our weekend of wedding dress shopping.

  4. I attended the one in Qualicum Beach (Vancouver Island) last weekend & it was great fun. We had Linda Gilkeson speak first thing in the a.m. & there were quite a few ‘ah-ha’ moments experienced by the audience. There were so many seed & bulb & garden vendors, it was hard not to have a few hot flashes as spring fever seemed to be present. I managed to control the urge to splurge & found myself the proud owner of a white mulberry. Can’t wait to find a home for it!
    Have fun!!
