Orange Cosmos (Cosmos sulphureus)

With snow now blanketing the ground it seemed fitting to choose the brightest picture I could find in my reserves to post today. I took this one back in June. I remember the day well. It was warm. Unlike today, which isn’t.

More about cosmos.

  1. So that’s what is growing at my mom’s house! I planted a mixed seed packet underneath my parents very young apple tree to help give some pep to that area. One of the plants had beautiful flowers that looked sorta like cosmos…but I didn’t think cosmos came in orange. But it looks exactly like the flower you’ve posted here. So I guess it is a cosmo afterall.
