With the hope for spring holding my winter-beaten spirit together, I’ve got organization on the brain. I recently purchased these extra-fancy file folders with a botanical/woodgrain design under the delusion that having pretty folders to look at everyday would inspire hyper-organization of my desk space. A pack of six folders cost $9 CDN which is pretty outrageous when you think about it — “thinking” being an activity I tried not to do as I forked out the cash.

On the flip-side I did refile everything, shredding a stack of old, useless papers and eliminating the ever-present pile o’ crap in the process, so we’ll see how it goes.

  1. Oh, they’re definitely worth the money. I recently purchased some really pretty file folders from Anthropologie. I carry them to meetings and get so many compliments.

  2. Until I saw this, I’d completely forgotten that a coworker gave me a pack of lovely file folders for Xmas. Clearly they didn’t inspire me to get my papers in order (yet!)…since I’m not sure where they are at the moment…buried amongst the papers. ;)

  3. I think it’s a sign of my spring fever, but I just bought 50 (50!!) file folders, and have spent hours tackling all my various piles of paperwork. The recycling bin has never been so full and the house never so organized. (I’ve also been on a 3 week break between school ending and a new job beginning, so we’ll see how long the organization lasts once work begins anew!)
