  1. This might be the proper name for the “cup plants” I have growing in my yard, in the alley, in the neighbors’ yards…
    They are called cup plants because the shape of the leaves makes a little cup around the square stalk to collect rain.
    Mine gets to 7 or more feet tall and attracts bees like the dickens. There was even a goldfinch around them the other day!

  2. Cup plant is Silohium perfoliatum. False Sunflower is very similar but the leaves are different and the plant is smaller then the Cup Plant.
