Georgia (Alas, Without Peaches)

Just a heads up to say that I’m going to be speaking at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens in just a few weeks. I am very much looking forward to this first trip to Georgia, although I have been forewarned that I will miss the peach season that is practically synonymous with the state. For the

Speaking at the Denver Botanic Gardens

Hello. How are you? It’s been quiet here for a bit. Deadlines and such. I will probably be a little light on posting for a while longer, but I am just over the hump. I’m gonna make it after-all! Perhaps when this is all said and done I should make a trip to Minnesota just

Art in Bloom

Hey Milwaukee! I have recently arrived in your fair city to give a presentation on food growing as a part of this year’s Art in Bloom exhibition at the Milwaukee Art Museum. I can’t wait to head over to the gallery later today to check it out. The architecture is crazy! The newest wing looks

Greetings from Sunny & Oh So Warm Florida

I’m at Disney World right now, where I will be giving talks on growing delicious and gorgeous food in small spaces until Thursday afternoon as a part of the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival. Our New TV Show Needs Your Help

Hello Friends, This isn’t the sort of thing I normally post, or would make public so early in the process, but I need some help so here it goes… I am working with a team to create a new television program (I am the host) and we need to shoot some footage. Unfortunately, it is

Spigarello Leaf Broccoli

It’s that time of year, again. Seedy Saturday and Sunday events have begun across Canada in anticipation of the gardening season. In case you missed it, the Toronto event (this Sunday!) is earlier this year, and they’ve broken it up into three locations across the Greater Toronto Area in an attempt to manage crowds. Check

2010 Holiday Drive: House of Hope (Plus Giveaway)

UPDATE (December 4): Wow!!! We’ve exceeded the goal in just a few days. The original goal was an arbitrary number and does not reflect House of Hope’s actual need. I simply chose a number that I felt was reachable. Turns out I underestimated you! While we’ve exceeded the initial target number, the drive will continue
